Pharmacy technicians

Here are the main services our pharmacy technicians provide to PCNs (however we’d love to discuss any other ideas):
Ensure all medication monitoring is up-to-date including elements of QOF
Synchronise medication to enable one prescription order per month
Increase the uptake and understanding of eRD batches
Review and action clinical letters and discharges including follow-ups
Resolve medication queries and issues from patients, pharmacies and clinicians
Action new and historical MHRA alerts
Complete pre-Structured Medication Review screening
Take the lead on Local Medicines Optimisation Schemes
Increase QOF achievement
Support practices with Impact and Investment Fund achievements
Support vaccination programmes such as flu and Covid-19
Help upskill and mentor existing client teams

Care coordinators

Arrange and coordinate high risk drug monitoring and regular recalls
Coordinate cancer care screening
